Jonathan is a super hero, and the day he came back to community was one of the greatest days of our history. Not only have holes been plastered over, refrigerators repaired, cold air prevented from entering the house and quite literally the lost have been found, the lame have walked, and the blind (namely, assistants who doubted the strengthening power of taco soup) have been made to see. Jonathan, there are many things I appreciate about you, but what I appreciate most is that you show people you care by helping them out. You must care about our community a lot, because you are constantly stepping in and making life run just a little smoother.

Someone asked Jonathan if he thought we'd have six more weeks of winter, and he said, "That depends on how much heat I generate lifting weights at Hard Training Club"

Some gifts that Jonathan has include, but are certainly not limited to:
excellent weight-lifting form, general initiative (he sees a problem, he ponders, he takes action), ability to intimidate the hell out of tiny animals (i.e., small dogs and all cats) and insecure people, an excellent sense of rhythm and a great singing voice, precision in his choice of words and actions, an ability to streamline and improve upon existing systems, a strong sense of honor and integrity, discretion and trustworthiness...oh, and he does quality impersonations. (Michael Jackson, Conway Twitty, Elmo...)

On top of all that, he has an incredibly caring, protective and kind heart. He shows his love by showing up, every day, and doing what needs to be done. He takes his time making decisions, but once he does decide, he sticks by his commitments and his relationships. He is generous, but always in an unassuming, quietly save-the-day sort of way.

He is my knight in shining T-shirt. 'Nuff said. :)
